Newcastle Australia is honoured to serve as the Knowledge Partner for the UN Global Compact Network Singapore’s (GCNS) 2025 Apex Corporate Sustainability Awards. Through its Centre for Sustainability and Development (CSD), Newcastle Australia has proudly supported GCNS as a knowledge partner from 2022 to 2025.
At this year’s awards, Associate Professor Charles Lee shared key insights from the LowCarbonSG Award finalists. Representing sectors including marine, refrigeration, construction, elevators, and consumer electronics, the finalists demonstrated strong leadership, innovation, and resilience in driving decarbonisation efforts within their organisations.
Associate Professor Lee highlighted the importance of collaboration across value chains to address Scope 3 emissions, calling on organisations to build shared capabilities and accelerate collective progress towards net zero.
